# What does the free natal chart calculator show?

## What do I enter?

- **Birth date** (MM/DD/YYYY)
- **Birth time** — or check "I don't know my birth time" and the chart is read without houses, rising, or Midheaven
- **Birth place** — offline city lookup; your data never touches a third-party geocoder
- Optionally, a few traits (gender, skin tone, hair color, eye color) to tune the optional soul-portrait artwork to you

Nothing you enter is stored on the free calculator (the optional painting is kept so it can be shown again).

## What is Your Archetypal Aesthetic?

A painting of the chart's ruling archetypes — the planets standing in the Gauquelin rising or culmination region, the chart ruler (and its classical co-ruler), and the most elevated planet, each planet painted once however many of those seats it holds — synthesized as one scene and shown between the Big Three and the Gauquelin regions. Timed charts only. A subscription paints every chart you enter: $9.99 / mo on its own, or $14.99 / mo bundled with Aletheia. Birth details are not stored; the painting is kept so it can be shown again.

## What is the soul portrait?

An optional generated artwork of your chart's "soul constellation," drawn from your placements (and your described traits, if given). The painted portrait also arrives with the full written reading.

The calculator is the raw code.
